I want to introduce someone very special and very dear to my heart. Her name is Kathy Thomas. She is a wife, a daughter, a sister and a mother to 4 incredible furbabies.  She is one of the most hard working, selfless, caring and loving people that I know. Recently she has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. It is a very rare  and aggressive form of cancer, less than 2% of all known breast cancers are IBC.  Fortunately, we live in Houston and that is where MD Anderson is located. They have a special department dedicated to this particular cancer, the only one in the entire world! They see and treat over 100 people annually and have double the success rate! As you can imagine, this treatment is expensive and she will miss a lot of work commuting back and forth and getting treatments. Her mother, sister and I have decided to start this page for her in order to help Kathy and try to ease the burden of any medical costs and living expenses. She is married to a wonderful man but with the loss of work on Kathy's end right now, he is doing his best to try and provide for bills and the cost of living. The insurance is over $2,5oo per month but is much cheaper than the once weekly treatments that are $12-$15k each! Cancer not only sucks but is expensive. This page is set up to help them take one more burden off the table. Kathy has a long road ahead of her and she needs all of the help that she can get and support as well. Kathy has a positive attitude and is a fighter so we know she can beat this.
