Kathy Redd

At the beginning of this year, our friend and family member, Kathy Redd, found herself feeling not “quite right.” On Saturday January, 14 she presented to the emergency department in Charlotte, NC, where she resides. At that time she was found to have two glioblastomas. She underwent surgery on Sunday January, 15 with successful removal of one tumor. The second tumor is inoperable due to location. She is scheduled to start radiation and chemotherapy this week.

You may know Kathy as the proud mom and grandma of her four boys and grandson. Or you may know her as one of the most dedicated and hard-working nurses in our profession. She’s also a great friend who always makes us laugh (maybe not on purpose ☺️). Above all else, she is a faithful servant of God.

At this time, Kathy is unable to return to work. This was an unexpected, life-changing event and Kathy is not one who would ever ask for help. She is the one always caring for others and now it is our turn to return all the love and care to her. All donations received will be used for medical expenses and continued costs of care as she begins the fight against cancer. Every donation is greatly appreciated.

Above all else, we ask for continued prayers for Kathy, her family and medical providers during this time.
