On the night of May 7th, 2022, my mom, Kathy Pitts, was out celebrating her birthday with friends and family and her life changed in the blink of an eye. My mom fell in the parking lot and suffered a severe subdural hematoma. She had emergency brain surgery that night, and we weren't sure if she would ever wake up again. I rushed to fly from Virginia to Illinois to be by her side. Friends and family prayed for her, and she finally woke up. My mom spent 9 days in the ICU before being transferred to an acute rehabilitation facility in Chicago.

I'm fundraising to help with the medical bills from the hospital stay, surgery, rehab, and future therapy costs. Anyone who knows my mom can attest to her generous spirit, loving heart, and compassion for others. She loves animals, has a contagious smile, and lives to laugh. Any help would be appreciated.
