On Saturday, Feb 11th, Kathy Molitor was so excited to help surprise her sister, Nancy, at a surprise retirement party in Avon, MN. At 6:00 p.m.
After the party, Kathy & her husband, Mike, went back to Nancy's house to spend the night before their trip back to Rochester, MN. At 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, as Kathy was descending the stairs from upstairs, she misstepped and fell. Kathy was rushed to the hospital in Melrose, MN where she was diagnosed with a broken wrist, broken rib, compromised shoulder, and eye damage, but worst of all, a subdermal hematoma. It was decided she would be taken by ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital to be monitored to see if surgery was required to stop the bleeding on her brain. Thankfully, within a day, it did stop, and surgery would not be required.
Kathy has a tough row to hoe, though, because she has one arm in a cast, the other she cannot lift due to the shoulder injury, and of course a very painful rib. She will also be needing extensive dental care.
Kathy's livelihood depends on her childcare profession, and without being able to lift small children, she will not be able to work for quite some time.
