Kathy Hernandez and Family

In the midst of this pandemic we have had a loss close to home.  Kathy Hernandez, one of our TPAs in the Office of Surgical Education, has lost her father Jose Flores, to COVID.  At the same time, her mother Silvia  and her sister Giselle are quarantined, so the family cannot be together in this time of grief.

Kathy's father was a hard working man, and the sole provider for her mother and sister.  As we all know in these extremely unnatural times, as funeral services and grief are put on hold because we have to maintain social distancing, we need to find other ways we can be there for each other.   

Since Kathy joined the OSE, during our challenging time of transition last year, she threw herself in wholeheartedly and has become an invaluable member of the team.  She supports all our programs and I'm hoping we can now support her.

Please take a moment to help Kathy's family in this most difficult of times.  I know there is loss everywhere and it is overwhelming but I also know there is nothing that can lift the spirits as much as helping someone who is experiencing one of the most difficult times of their lives.
