Kathryn's Mission Trip to Honduras

I am very excited to announce that I am preparing to go on another mission trip this summer to Honduras with St. James UMC. This six-day trip will be spent with Forgotten Children Ministries ministering to the children in their care and the surrounding community. We will also have the joy of working with the ministry's missionary families living in Tegucigalpa.
In addition to presenting the gospel and ministering to the children of the ministry, our team will have the opportunity to meet the spiritual and physical needs of many impoverished families. As a part of the food ministry, we are able to share the gospel with many individuals who will then be able to receive food at the conclusion of the message. This is a special time of ministry with the local community and a time where we can meet individuals where they are and share God’s love for them.
I am reaching out to you to invite you to partner with me. First, I covet you prayers for each individual who joins our team and also for the success of this mission in both the planning phase and as we carry out the Lord’s work in Honduras. I ask also that you be in prayer as I work to raise $2,000 over the next 5 months to be able to participate on this trip.
Working with Forgotten Children Ministries in Honduras is something I am extremely passionate about. I have participated on eight mission trips so far, and I hope to continue serving in Honduras as often as possible. The last trip I went on was particularly special to me because I became a sponsor to a seven-year-old girl named Pati. This next trip will be even more special to me to see her and maintain the relationship I began on my last trip. I am so thankful for Forgotten Children Ministries and the work they are doing, but also for the opportunity to play a special role in a child’s life.
