Katherine start over

Hey, my name Ellie. I manage a local Great Clips in the Sacramento Market. One of my stylist lost her residence in a complex fire. Her name Kathrine. She lives with her sister and 9 year old niece. Just one week after they celebrated her nieces birthday on August 23, 2022 one of the back units caught fire. It was a older complex with no fire protection and it spread fast. Luckily Katherine was home and able to save her niece's 2 cats, but everything that was fabric in the apartment was destroyed. She has recently learned that her building will now be condemned. Katherine being the fighter that she is, has still shown up for work and has given her all like she always does. She is a rock, a fighter, and a survivor. She's the one that will show up early for a shift to clean the vents out of the dryer so that the salon never has this exact situation. She always spends hours helping train the new staff, not because it's her job, instead because she cares about her customers, stylist, and the Great Clips brand. The Great Clips mindset is to always care for our customers and that is who Katherine is. She is the girl to help anyone who is down and out. Today when spoke of creating her a gofund me to try and help her get back on her feet she began to cry because she is not the type to ask for hand outs. She is the type to do whatever it takes to help someone else. I told her that this was the time that the universe would give her the helping hand she has given so many others. They were not prepared for this financially. They have received very little help from the landlord (who will not return any phone calls) and only $600 from red cross. In California that will give you about 4 nights in a motel. They are trying to find a new apartment but with rent the way that it is, it's going to take some time. The hotel they are at is $750 a week and Friday is there last night. She has been cooking in her crockpot or we have been bringing food for her. This will be a long road but she is strong and will continue to fight so her niece does not need to worry while trying to focus on the 3rd grade.

We are asking for money to cover hotel cost for 3 weeks, a new mattress, 1 new bed frame and food. We are praying that she finds a new place to live within a week. She understands this is a huge ask and doesn't mind if you feel more comfortable calling and paying for a night at the motel, or donating the items she needs, or even sending a gift card. She is truly an incredible woman and deserves a little help right now.
