Hi, I'm Kathryn Bloomfield, a resident of Collingwood and long-time wheelchair curler at the Curling Club of Collingwood.

That's me on the right side at the Hike and Bike for Hospice this past May.

My current wheelchair is nearly five years old and has been in two accidents.

The chair is having serious mechanical issues and I don't feel safe anymore.

I have had to order a new wheelchair.

I am 71 now, and though wheelchair bound, I unfortunately don't qualify for full government funding for a replacement.

The government will fund 75%.

My part of this wheelchair is 10,570.10.

I am living on a disability pension and do not have the available funds.

The distributor of the wheelchair will not release the wheelchair to me until I've funded my contribution portion.

I am asking for your help to fund my portion of the wheelchair.
