Kathleen Saw - Fighting the Big C

To all kind-hearted friends and benefactors,

My name is Danny Ang and I am Kathleen Saw’s colleague and friend. I have decided to set up this campaign to help Kathleen go through her current struggles. I believe the financial burden she is now facing should be the least of her worries as she fights with the Big C.  A very upbeat and amiable colleague, she is very well liked by our officemates, customers and just about anyone whom she interacts with.

One February afternoon, she asked to leave early to see a doctor because she felt very dizzy… almost at the point of fainting. At the urgent care clinic it was determined that her red blood cell count was very low and she needed immediate transfusion. Without latter the doctor said she could have died. Her monthly period was abnormally heavy and painful. This was her first hospital visit and it will not be her last.

She was scheduled for more checks and the doctors saw an abnormal growth in her uterus. Due to its size and shape it was definitely cancerous and the doctors recommended immediate complete hysterectomy. She underwent surgery at Sutter Health (El Camino Hospital) in Mountain View CA under the care of Dr. Ming-Teh Dwight Chen. She was single and still  young but she faced the consequence with deep faith.

Pathology results came painstakingly slow. It was a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. Early this week, she was resting at home when she coughed blood. She immediately called her doctor and was rushed to the emergency room. She has contracted Pneumonia and her creatinine level was very high. She has to have stents and drain for her kidneys. There is now a new tumor growing aggressively in her urethra. She would have to undergo a series of chemotherapy. The first one is scheduled this week. That is if she gets better with the anti-biotics she is taking for her Pneumonia and if she will be strong enough for the dose of chemo.

We are all praying for her quick and full recovery.  Treatments are a financial drain and would thus kindly request for your unselfish support. She has not been able to work for more than 2 months now.

Thank you very much!

God Bless you a hundred fold for your generosity….

Danny
