kathy is now at life care center in puyallup she will be there for several weeks, she is making progress.
My wife has been battling with Crohn's Disease for over 10 years. She has had surgery after surgery to remove clogged portions of her intestines. Kathy has had 3 surgeries this year. She has been in the hospital for over 6 weeks and may be in a wound care facility for the next 6 weeks. After her wound is healed she will have to have an additional surgery to reattach her intestines. Which will need additional time to heal. Being ill this long has been hard on her for many reasons. Kathy is a mom of 3 kids who are all grown, a grandmother of 4 and a great grandmother of 1. She is use to taking care of everyone else, running errands for her elderly father, babysitting her grand kids and taking care of the house. This latest bought with Crohns has caused her to resign from her job. Which has caused her even more stress due to finances.

Due to her lengthy stay in the hospital, the many prior surgeries and the up coming surgery, the medical bills have become astronomical.

If that was not enough, I have had to have 2 eye surgeries in the last few weeks. This has taken me away from my job for more than a month. I am recovering well but miss my other half.
