Kat had not felt healthy for some time. She walked into the ER on Tuesday, Dec 8th. They ran a multitude of tests & found she had pneumonia & cancer that had spread into her lungs, bones & liver. She deteriorated very quickly. They think she may have had a mild stroke,  developed empyema which turned into sepsis & ARDS. They were unable to determine what type of cancer she had because she had become too fragile for invasive testing. By Thursday night, she took a turn for the worse & became uncommunicative.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, Dec 12th @ 8:41 pm. She was a proud mother of 3, a devoted wife, grandmother, sister, daughter - who died too young, very unexpectedly & quickly at the age of 50.
