On October 10, 2021, Remberto Veizaga’s world changed forever. He lost his beloved wife of 35 years, Kathia Veizaga Udaeta, after a brief but harrowing battle with leukemia. Three and a half weeks prior, before Kathia was diagnosed, Remberto did not imagine that he would outlive his bride. Remberto was 78 and Kathia was almost 16 years his junior. Doctors informed them that Kathia had Acute Myeloid Leukemia, the most lethal form of the disease. Though she fought bravely—even giving Bible studies near the very end of her life — she eventually passed at age 62 and is resting in the Lord.

 

Kathia dedicated her life to serving people, and bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone she met. As a dentist in her home country, and as a home health aide in the United States, her love for others and dedication to God was made manifest. Above all, she wanted her life to magnify the name of God and Jesus Christ.

 

Kathia was the breadwinner of her and Remberto’s home. Remberto is now in need of financial assistance as he transitions to life as a widower. These funds will help support him in this very difficult time. We, the Veizaga-Udaeta family, would like to thank all the church members, relatives and friends in advance for their financial aid. El 10 de octubre de 2021, el mundo de Remberto Veizaga cambió para siempre. Perdió a quien fue su amada esposa por 35 años, Kathia Udaeta de Veizaga; después de una breve pero desgarradora batalla contra la leucemia. Tres semanas y media antes, antes de que Kathia fuera diagnosticada, Remberto no imaginaba que sobreviviría a su esposa. Remberto tiene 78 años y Kathia era casi 16 años menor que él. Los médicos les informaron que Kathia tenía leucemia mieloide aguda, la forma más letal de dicha enfermedad. Aunque luchó con valentía, incluso dando estudios bíblicos hasta cerca del final de su vida, finalmente falleció a los 62 años y descansa en el Señor.

 

Kathia dedicó su vida a servir a las personas y llevar el Evangelio de Jesucristo a todos los que conocía. Como cirujano dentista en su país de origen y como cuidadora de ancianos en los Estados Unidos, manifestó su amor por los demás y dedicación a Dios. Sobre todo, quería que su vida magnificara el nombre de Dios y Jesucristo.

 

Kathia era el sostén de la familia y de Remberto. Remberto ahora necesita ayuda financiera en su transición a su vida como viudo. Estos fondos ayudarán a apoyarlo en este momento tan difícil.
