Hi, I’m Andrew. I’m raising funds for my partner Katherine, 41, who was recently diagnosed, out of the blue, with an aggressive sarcoma (cancer of the soft tissue) in her left buttock.

What started as an unexplained ache on the morning of January 5th 2026, quickly became something that has completely changed life for our family.

Katherine has just undergone a major operation to remove the tumour. While the surgery was a huge and necessary step, it’s only the beginning of a long recovery.

She now faces at least two months of healing and rehabilitation before starting six weeks of radiotherapy in Oxford (which is a 100 mile

round trip) to help ensure the cancer is fully treated.

During this time I’ll be stepping back from much of my work to help Katherine recover and to look after our three-year-old son, Charlie.

I work full-time as a magician, which normally involves a lot of travel and performances, but right now my focus needs to be at home with my family.

2026 was meant to be a very different year for us. Instead, it’s become a year focused on recovery, resilience, and taking things one day at a time.

Many of our friends and family have asked how they can help and this was suggested as a platform by several people: any support, whether through donations or simply sharing this page, would mean the world to us and help ease the financial pressure of lost work, treatment, childcare, home adaptations and everyday living costs while Katherine recovers.

Most importantly, it will allow Katherine to focus on healing and spending time with Charlie as we navigate this unexpected chapter together.
