What happened? On Saturday, October 10th, Kat was out enjoying one of her most beloved past-times, riding motorcycles.  She spent the day traveling to Sundance, Utah to an Octoberfest celebration, enjoying a German meal with her boyfriend, Cam. On her way home, a car changed lanes in front of her with little warning.  Kat swerved to avoid hitting the car and ended up going down without managing to hit any other vehicles. Kat was wearing a helmet, but the fall left her unconscious after impact. Cam was able to provide immediate attention, EMS arrived quickly, and she was headed into surgery within 30-45 minutes of going down. Kat has suffered some serious brain trauma and has had 2 brain surgeries to help alleviate the swelling.  She has also broken several bones on her left side (clavicle, scapula, and ankle).  She remains in a medically induced coma and faces a long road to recovery.  Her recovery and prognosis are still uncertain.   Please pray for Kat and that she is able to heal from this.  She has always had such a zest for life and adventure, and deep love for so many people who she has encountered in her short 27 years.  We are hoping to raise some money to help her with medical and recovery expenses.  Any amount is greatly appreciated, but prayers are most welcomed.   As she makes progress in her recovery, we will do our best to update you.  Thank you for praying for Kat and sharing.
