Hello friends! Katey here! I'm starting a GoFundMe for the remaining amount of my funds for my Compassion DTS for YWAM Redding. If you're new here, and not sure what I'm talking about, here's an excerpt from my support letter for better explanation:
"I have been blessed with the opportunity to become part of one of Youth With A Mission’s discipleship training schools...The discipleship training school I will be attending is in Redding, CA, and is the “Compassion” DTS. It is aptly named, for the mission of Compassion DTS is to light the world ablaze with our Savior’s compassion for the broken and the oppressed. “Our time together will be a journey to God’s heart, as we explore various injustices such as refugees, slums and the poor, the plight of women and children, human trafficking, prostitution, widows and orphans.”
This school is a five-month, two-phase program, with the first phase beginning on January 4th, 2016. “The Lecture Phase” as it is called, is two and a half months of intensive training to prepare us for the second phase: “Outreach Phase.” After this first phase training is complete, I will be headed to Lebanon! We will work with Syrian refugees and help those that need the loving message of Christ.
For both phases there are, of course, costs. Airfare, living accomodations, food, curriculum, some inner city missions, etc... If you'd like to donate, know that you're money is going towards helping me first travel to Redding, CA so that I may be trained and be better equipped to help people all over the world. Your money will then send me overseas to Lebanon, where I can minister and love the refugees of Syria. My heart has been aching for many years over all the pain and hurt in this world, and if God could ever see fit to use my heart and mold it to His purposes, I would go as far as I was able to do so. God has shown me such intense love and faithfulness through the years and I want people to know how life transforming that can be.
I will stop rambling now but please know that your support means the absolute world to me. I could not go and do any of this without your love and support. Blessings and Love to all!
