Kate’s travel for chemo/radiation

Hi all, this is Kate’s brother Richard.  Kate’s extended lung cancer treatment and participation in the clinical trial through Mass. General require her to travel frequently back and forth to Boston from Nantucket.  For those of you unfamiliar with that process, it can be very time consuming and expensive.  Cape Air or other commercial flights are often the only feasible and/or expeditious way to make the journey when she’s feeling poorly or when inclement weather dictates.  Kate must also make these trips in a timely manner to meet her multiple treatment and diagnostic appointments.  She has been very hesitant to ask for help and the local island charities have already been extremely generous but it is placing a significant ongoing financial burden on her which will continue throughout the projected two-year treatment duration.  When Kate first was diagnosed, everyone asked how they could help.  I suggested we wait to see what might really help as her treatment proceeded.  Well, here we are.  Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.  Love to you all and of course to my dearest sister.
