Katerine’s road to recovery

Hello my Name is Yuby. I am humbly asking for help in behalf of Katerine she is a loving, hard working , healthy woman, mother of Sarah (5 years old) and Violeta (2 years old), she was admitted to the palmetto hospital in Hialeah Florida on December 2 with respiratory failure, she was diagnosed with Pneumothorax in the left lung.

On December 2, a tube was placed in the lateral part of her back that helped to suck the air and liquid that was between the pleura and the lung, on Monday the 5th her lung collapsed again and she was transferred to the intensive care unit in where another tube was placed, this time in the chest since the previous tube had failed. Unfortunately, the recovery process did not have a positive result and her lung collapsed again on Saturday night, December 10, which led to surgery on Monday in which part of her lung was removed. Today, December 13, she is still in the intensive care unit (CCU #6) struggling to return home with her husband and two daughters where, by the hand of God, she hopes to undergo therapy to recover the capacity of her lungs and little by little her normal life.

We thank God because the hardest part is over and we just have to be patient so that she can be completely healthy again. We ask everyone to please take care of your family and value every moment.
