Breast Cancer, Help Kate Win!
To be Kate Pifer is to be strong, beyond what most can bare. In Just one doctor’s visit, just one lump, her world turned into the scariest encounter of her life. She heard, "you have cancer". Her first thoughts were to her beloved friends and family in this quote from her Facebook,
"There is something I want to share, specifically to my female friends and family......
I was diagnosed this week with breast cancer. Being only 33, it never even crossed my mind that this is something that could happen to me. Never took monthly breast exams seriously, could probably count on one hand how many times I have actually done this. In fact l didn't even find it myself, it was found by Jake.
Please take your breast health very seriously and don't take any chances if you find something that has changed.
To my family; I really don't know much about our family history of breast cancer, but it's here now. So please please watch yourself....I love you all....." 4/28/2016
Since then she has endured not only the first of a series of surgeries, but at times has succumbed to the overwhelming fact that she has two out comes... But her will to live on for her husband & 4 children, is stronger than ever. Since her life has been flipped upside down, she has worked vigorously to get things back to normal. The kids come first, her marriage strives on and she, who is suffering comes last.
I, a friend of Kate's, am asking for any help that can be provided to the Pifer family as they "keep calm and carry on." The medical bills, prescriptions, doctors’ visit... its adding up quick, too quick. Kate is not able to work while trying to fight this... I'm asking for help as The Pifer's go about their daily lives, not as we do, but as a whole family fighting for her life.
The appreciation would be overwhelming for the help with medical expenses, the ease of knowing ends can be met with your help. It would abosuletly lift her spirits seeing you cared this much. Any little bit helps and never will they forget those who reached out to them in their time of need.
Thank you,
Teresa Long
