I made this gofundme to help my sister, Tanya, put to rest her 2nd born daughter, who was only 18 years old. New Years Eve was a "normal" day aside from the celebrations. Katelyn had no known underlying illness and was deemed a healthy young lady. She was a great mother to a beautiful baby boy. On New Year's Eve, around 4 a.m. after having spent some quality time with her family and one on one time with her mother, she said she was "tired" and was going to bed. Nothing abnormal, nothing out of the ordinary. A few hours later, my sister had a feeling and went to check on Katelyn, and found her daughter had passed in her sleep.

We are never prepared to bury a loved one, but we definitely never intend to prepare to bury our children, especially as young as Katelyn was. We are torn and are still trying to make sense out of this. She was a wonderful mom, daughter, sister, cousin. And, what makes it worse, is not only that it was sudden and unexpected, but with the current events surrounding Covid, we have an added stress in the process. As we await autopsy results, we are preparing for her funeral. My sister is not asking for much, just a portion of what she needs. Anything you can donate would be extremely helpful at this time.
