Katelynn Dollar Memorial Bench Fundraiser
Donation protected
Katelynn Mae Dollar was an inspiring, much loved and decorated young runner within the Creekview community and Metro Atlanta area. She won State titles in Cross Country and holds numerous track and field records at Creekview High School. She was also named Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year and Atlanta Track Club All Metro Female Runner of the Year. Katelynn had a bigger than life personality and a smile that lit every space she occupied. While Katelynn very publicly shared about her mental health struggles, she strived every day to ensure that everyone she came in contact with felt loved and seen. Sadly, Katelynn recently lost her fight against anxiety and depression. In her memory, we are raising funds to have a bench and plaque placed in one of her favorite places, Boling Park, in Canton Georgia. Katelynn loved training and racing at Boling Park. Having a bench placed there offers not only her family and friends a local place to sit, visit with, and remember Katelynn; but it offers the running community as a whole a location to reflect upon someone who touched and impacted countless lives. Funds raised will be used for a memorial bench and plaque to be placed by the city of Canton. Any funds received over the amount needed for the bench will be used exclusively to donate to an organization of her family’s choice in Katelynn’s name or used to purchase any other items that can be donated in Katelynn’s memory.
