James & Katelyn recently welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Lillan Joy into the world. These amazing first-time parents came to me in search of a doula with a pretty textbook pregnancy, desiring a physiological birth.

All had been well until Katelyn’s third trimester, where growth scans were off. At this point, they had a major change in their birth plan & were transferred from KMC to Sacred Heart for a higher level of care.

Their sweet baby was victoriously born on 7/11/2025 & has been in the NICU since receiving care. Yesterday, Katelyn & James were told their baby would have to be life-flighted to a more specialized hospital in Seattle within the next 24-48 hours. As of right now, the plan is for baby to be in Seattle for the next month or so.

Friends, the transition into parenthood is hard enough without the added stress of a baby in the NICU, especially for such an extended period of time & so far from home.
