Kate Ganschow's Brain Cancer Fund

In September 2016, Kate was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, glioblastoma multiforme. Despite having invested 9 months in nursing school, Kate was forced to withdraw from the program to focus on her medical care. Kate had surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible, and she has been going through extensive radiation and chemotherapy. She has been told by doctors that she has two to four years to live.
Despite the initial shock of her diagnosis, Kate remains upbeat and is optimistic that she will “kick cancer's ass!” We set up this page to help Kate receive funds for the various expenses she'll have around medical care. In 2017, her copays went up for her primary care physician and specialists, and she now has copays for all of her prescriptions. Her diet has changed, she has to take 20+ supplements a day, and the financial cost of driving back and forth and Steve taking time off from work for appointments adds up.
Kate is not the type to ask for hand-outs from anyone. As friends and family, however, we want to help support our wonderful Kate fight this cancer and remove a bit of the financial burden in any way we can. This GoFundMe is being set up to help alleviate some of the expenses this new challenge entails.
She also needs your love, support, and prayers. No matter where you are, the more love and prayers she has from people around her, the more healing we hope will happen! Pray for Kate.
