Support Kate's Fight Against CLL

Donation protected
Hi, my name is David, and I’ve been running the CLL Group for Younger People on Facebook since 2017. Over the years, we’ve supported thousands of people under 55 who are battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Recently, a member of our group reached out to me privately in desperate need of help.

Her name is Kate, and she’s in a dire situation. She’s fighting for her life against aggressive cancer while battling an extremely aggressive lymphoma. Here is Kate in her own words:

My name is Kate, and I’m terrified I might not make it through this. I’ve been battling CLL since 2022, but recently my illness took a turn for the worse. I’ve been diagnosed with something called Richter’s Transformation, an aggressive and life-threatening form of lymphoma. The chemo treatments (R-CHOP) have left me so sick and weak that I can no longer work.

I am going to lose my home if I cannot pay my rent by next Monday (December 2). My rent is $1250/month for a 2 bedroom for my daughter and I. I don’t have anywhere else to go. My brother is struggling with his own mental health issues and can’t help me financially. My body is failing me, and without immediate support, I don’t know how I’ll survive. I need enough money to pay for my past due rent, buy basic necessities, and eventually secure a safe place to stay.

I have reached out to organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and while they’ve offered assistance, their support won’t come in time to address my immediate needs. I’ve also contacted several cancer charities across the country, but despite their good intentions, they don’t seem to grasp the urgency of my situation. In one week, I will be homeless unless I can pay the past due rent along with next month's rent. I’ve tried everything I can think of—local organizations, shelters, even community resources—but every path I take seems to hit a dead end. I’m scared, sick, and running out of time. Please, if you can, help me. Even the smallest contribution could be the difference between me having a roof over my head next week or being out on the streets while battling this aggressive cancer. I know it’s hard to ask for help, but I’m asking now because I have no other options.

How Your Support Will Help

Kate needs $5,000 to stay in her home for the next two months, cover basic living expenses, and start building a plan to escape her toxic environment. Here’s how your donations will be used:

$1,500: Rent due next week to avoid eviction
$1,000: Utilities, transportation, and food
$2,500: Moving expenses and a deposit for a safe living space

If we don’t reach at least $1,500 by the end of this week, Kate will lose her home and be left with nowhere to go. Every single donation counts, no matter how small.

Why This is Urgent

Kate’s chemo treatments are life-saving but leave her too sick to work.

She is battling an aggressive form of cancer and needs immediate stability to focus on her health.

Losing her home will put her in an even more dangerous situation, leaving her vulnerable and without access to care.

Please, help us keep Kate safe and give her a fighting chance to get through this. Your kindness and generosity could save her life.
