I am a Graduate Student at DePaul University pursuing a Master of Education and teaching license in Spanish with endorsements in ESL and Bilingual/Bicultural Education.

I am raising money to volunteer in Guatemala this November-December.  I will be staying with a family in Antigua, Guatemala and working with a school called La Union.  La Union has partnered with a local mayan community called La Vuelta Grande, where their greatest source of capital is the selling of flowers.  Most of the inhabitants get by on $4 a day, don't have access to technology, or other resources they need. La Union created a program called Project La Vuelta Grande through which they help support the community in bringing in more income, promoting tourism, getting them access to technology, and helping them get the resources they need.  For my trip I decided I want to make a donation to the community and to the school.

With your help we can make a big impact for the people of La Vuelta Grande, and we will be able to help the school get connected to technology and obtain educational resources for the kids.  Help me make an difference for this community and reach my fundraising goal!  My appreciation for your help in this endeavor is immeasurable.
