UPDATE | Message from Kate:
I am overwhelmed by the continued support and kind words from this community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart; this means so much to me and my family. I am humbled and proud to be part of a group of such kind people, and I look forward to giving back in some way. I am continuing with weekly chemo infusions and will have surgery sometime in the spring. We are thankful to know that the cancer has not spread beyond the original two sites. My family is wishing all of you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Peace and love to all ❤️ Kate
To know Kate Hibbard is a gift, she is kindness, she is love, and she is one of the best people I know. Kate brings positivity and strength to any circumstance, and with this we know she is prepared. On November 6, 2020 Kate was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer.. Certain warriors are given certain battles and Kate remains positive that she will be a survivor.
If you don’t know Kate, she works in the mother-baby unit at St. Josephs. She is a driven individual who can take anything and make it into something. She graduated from East Syracuse - Minoa Highschool and attended SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Lemoyne and St. Josephs for her nursing degree. Her spirit is genuine and she cherishes her family; having Jeremy and two gorgeous spunky little girls by her side (Silvia and Rosalie) this mama remains strong.
With high hopes of recovery, we are asking for any donations and/or prayers toward her diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Any donations, big or small, will help secure their family home and alleviate any additional financial stresses as they prepare for treatments across the coming months. Kate thanks you from the bottom of her heart. She is strong, but with your support we can lift her up and give her more strength.
Love,
Kate’s Army
