Kate Woods Memorial

Kate Lea Woods, 65, of Carthage, NC passed away on August 25th, 2023 with her children at her side. Kate was the daughter of Nancy Woods and William Hoffman. She is survived by her 3 sisters: Beverly, Ann, and Sharie, her 4 children: Lenora, Melanie, Josiah, and Isaiah, and grandchildren Henry, Maisie, Freeman, and Gemma, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In life, Kate loved her family (she took great joy in being a Grammy)-and this extended to animals, most especially her dogs. She spent many years breeding and training mainly Border Collies and Jack Russell Terriers. She loved playing violin and piano, with a particular affinity for bluegrass and folk music.
