Kate Olguin Domestic Abuse Fund

On the evening of October 28th, 2016, Kate was brutally attacked and then stabbed by her boyfriend. She was taken by ambulance to Lutheran Hospital's ER in critical condition.
While there, and after spending several days in ICU, she accrued quite a hefty hospital bill. The hospital treated her for 5 stab wounds, which resulted in 2 punctured lungs, along with several other injuries.
In the course of the incident, Kate's dog was trying to protect her, and the dog was thrown against the wall by the attacker. The dog, Tomasa, suffered a broken pelvis and tailbone. She is on the mend, and glad to be with Kate again.
Before this man was arrested, he drained Kate's bank account, and also put her several thousand dollars in debt. He is now in jail, and facing several charges relating to domestic abuse.
Kate is currently recovering at our parents' house. She is in a lot of pain, and will have a long road to recovery, but we are thankful the outcome was not worse. We are hoping to raise enough money to help her financially recover and move forward with a fresh start.
