Kate Needs our help! It's her time to Receive!

Hi, My name is Carissa and I am trying to help out one of my dearest and closest friends. Today marks 11 years since her beloved son Kyle passed away at 8 years old. To say the healing process has been excruciating is an understatement. But she keeps going on, living like Kyle would want her to and single parenting 3 amazing kiddos, A, J and W! I can personally attest to the amazingness of these beautiful souls. I'm lucky to have been able to spend time with them over the last 15+ years, most recently with a trip to see them all in Florida in November. Through everything, Kate has always put others first in everything she does, often to her detriment. She also has dealt with so much utter shit and complicated medical issues of her own over the last several years and right now it is bad!

She is currently unable to work, has had multiple surgeries in 2 different states the last month, (even being away from the kids over Christmas!) is on IV antibiotics for many more weeks to come and possible more surgeries. And unfortunately, this only addresses the current issue, not her overall health. She is SO WORTH helping. If you have ever interacted with her, you know that. She is not too happy that I am setting this up because of stupid pride, but I told her -

'you've given to so many over the last 20 years, even when you didn't have it to give, so now it's your turn to receive.'

Please - if you have anything to spare, it will go toward rent, food for the kiddos, medical bills and overall peace of mind that her little family can be taken care of - she's doing this solo, and it's HARD. I want nothing more than to see my best friend healthy, because selfishly I NEED her in my life, being so far away from her is so hard in these times, but this I can do!
