Kate Fulks medical expenses
Donation protected
This page has been created to help Hannah and Terry Fulks with the expenses that come along with Kate being in the hospital and medical bills that will be coming down the road.
As many of your know Kate's story started the morning of March 15th when Terry took Kate to the dr and was told she had a sinus infection and was give a steroid and antibiotic. Wednesday night Kate's lips turned blue and we took her to the er were we were told she was crabby and needed motrin. Things never improved so Friday morning Terry called and got us an appointment and we went to see a dr and was told we indeed had a sick baby and before we knew it we were in an ambulance with Kate and her heart was running 285 beats per minute! We got to Columbia Women's and children and we had ekgs and echo done! They decided that she had Atopic atrial tachycardia! We were given a 24 hr plan! We didn't make it through our plan and on Saturday March 18th we were transferred to St. Louis children's hospital! Kate got an awesome helicopter ride and we drove straight to her to meet with doctors! When we arrived we were told you have a healthy baby on the outside and a really sick baby on the inside! (From Kate's caring bridge page)
Since then she has had many steps forward and backward. Her heart rate is lowering but her heart is very weak. On March 22nd the words "heart failure" and "heart transplant" were brought into the picture. We are all praying for the best outcome but the Fulks family has a long road ahead of them, Kate could be in the hospital for at least a month. Along with medical bills down the road, Hannah and Terry are having to pay for lodging, meals, gas all while still keeping up with bills at home. They are not the type of people to ask for a "handout" but I know a lot of people are wanting to help them out and don't know how. This is the best way I knew to give them a little help.
In addition to this page you can also make donations into Kate's savings account at the Tipton Latham Bank.
