Kate Calabretta

Kate Calabretta is a warm, caring, and knowledgeable second grade teacher who we all adore. She possesses the profound ability to connect to children at their level and to bring out their very best. When you have students (and parents) from previous years returning back to her classroom to say hello and to give her a hug, you know Mrs. Calabretta is doing something special.

You may not be aware that Mrs. Calabretta is battling advanced stage 4 breast cancer. Her cancer was diagnosed in 2014 and was under control for some time, but Mrs. Calabretta recently learned that the medication she was using to prevent the cancer from spreading is no longer working.

Mrs. Calabretta is going to undergo a series of new trials in her search for a medication that will prevent her tumors from spreading. We want to help alleviate the stress of her exorbitant medical expenses. Contributions to this Go Fund Me campaign represent our unwavering support through this journey. 

Mrs. Calabretta did not ask us to establish this campaign. You may know that a Go Fund Me campaign was set up for Mrs. Calabretta a year ago, prior to these new unfortunate updates, and it was extremely successful. However, we have received overwhelming interest from our parents who want to continue to help, and this is one of the best ways for us to demonstrate our consistent support and love.
