I writing on behalf of my parents, Kate and John Jackson. 2020 has been a very difficult year for all, so I want to thank you for visiting this page and considering making a contribution to this fund.
Amidst the incredible difficulties that COVID-19 has presented, two of Kate's daughters (also my younger sisters) have suffered severe medical issues that have required an incredible amount of Kate's time and attention and have made it nearly impossible for her to work and continue to support her family through the interior decorating business that she started over 2 decades ago.
Kate has been caring for one of her daughters nearly every day for the last 8 months after a severe back injury, and on Tuesday, 11/3, her daughter Hannah suffered a crisis that has resulted in her being hospitalized. Hannah spent 10 days in the ED and remains hospitalized now in a longer term care facility. It is not clear yet when Hannah will be able to come home, but she will require 24/7 attention and care when she does, and my mom will continue to be spending time with my other sister as needed while both of her daughters continue to heal.
In addition to the significant medical expenses that Hannah's hospital stay will incur, Kate and John are facing significant home repairs that need urgent attention, creating an emergent financial need.
Anticipating the amount of time that Hannah will need from Kate, us siblings are contributing as much time and financial support as we can, but we are raising funds to help them through this expensive and emotionally difficult journey. We would be equally as grateful for your prayers as we would for any financial donation.
100% of any donation will go to our parents to support them in this difficult time. We kids could not ask for more devoted and supportive parents and know that they are great friends and close family to many of you. We hope to give our mother Kate time to recoup and make a plan for next steps while caring for Hannah and addressing these urgent home repairs. We of course understand that this year has been financially difficult for many so appreciate absolutely any support, whether it be prayers or financial assistance, that our family, friends and community might be able to contribute. We are so grateful for all of the assistance they have received so far in this difficult time and we cannot thank you enough!
