On June 23rd, our family received devastating news. Our beautiful Katalina was diagnosed with (ALL) Acute-Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was admitted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on Tuesday night, but our family knows that ALL chose the wrong girl. Katy is stronger than any cancer.
Katy has taken all of her treatments with a strong attitude and lots of bravery. She has a long road ahead of her, as she will be receiving intense treatments of chemotherapy, that will likely continue for several years or until she’s in remission. This will be a tremendous expense for Sessie and Juan. Along with this ongoing pandemic, this tragedy will bring many difficulties for the entire family. It has not been easy for the parents. Because of the pandemic they cannot be together as a family. We’d like to eliminate any financial worries for them, so that they can focus on Katy’s care and keep life as normal as possible for their other three children: Lukas, Oli, and Kamila.
Any amount you can contribute will help. We ask that you please share this campaign on your social media. We want Sessie, Juan, and their children to know how much they are loved and supported during this incredibly challenging time. Our family has always been great believers in God and his mercy, so we know that he will always be with us.

El 23deJunio, nuestra familia recibió noticias devastadoras. Nuestra hermosa Katalina fue diagnosticada con (ALL) Leucemia aguda-linfoblástica. Ella fue ingresada en el Hospital Santa Barbara Cottage el martes por la noche, pero nuestra familia sabe que ALL eligió a la niña equivocada. Katy es más fuerte que cualquier cáncer.
Katy ha tomado todos sus tratamientos con una actitud fuerte y mucha valentía. Ella tiene un largo camino por delante, ya que recibirá tratamientos intensos de quimioterapia, que probablemente continuarán durante varios años o hasta que esté en remisión. Este será un gasto tremendo para Sessie y Juan. Junto con esta pandemia en curso, esta tragedia traerá muchas dificultades para toda la familia. No ha sido fácil para los padres.
