Hi friends and family,

Almost 3 months ago I felt a large lump in my neck and about a week later I went in to the hospital to get it checked out. After all the testing and appointments with the specialist, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It hasn’t been easy, it has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had to go through in my life. Coping with this life changing news has been an emotional rollercoaster….. I have my good days, I have my really bad days, I have days where I shut the world out. I am making this page simply because I have surgery coming up… and with surgery comes bills. I will be out of work for at least 2-3 weeks. This has been difficult to make the decision to open up about something so life changing or to even ask this of anyone. I know everyone has their own responsibilities to deal with but whether you are able to help out or not, I thank all you in advance for the support.
