Kassy Strong

Kassy is a 23 year old 2018 graduate of Fitchburg State University's Nursing Program. She has been recently diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. Kassy will need chemotherapy for a year, a double mastectomy, and additional treatments. She has a long journey ahead of her.  She continues to work as a new nurse through this and we, as people that have grown to know and love her, want to make her journey a little easier. The funds raised will help her with medical costs and time off as she has only been working as a nurse for two months. Together, we can and we will make a difference.

Kassy is an extraordinary young woman who always needed to be reminded to take care of herself first throughout nursing school. All I've ever known is the determined, motivated, and tactful woman that Kassy is. Her smile lights up even the darkest room on the darkest day. She's always a phone call away. She's a lot of spunk in a little body if we've ever seen one. I hold our friendship very near and dear and hope to reach out to her friends, family, peers, coworkers, and fellow nurses.  Together we are #KassyStrong --Kaili

I have had the privilege of teaching Kassy at FSU. She is a remarkable young lady full of love, compassion, and kindness that she readily shares with all who know her. No one should have to go through what she will have to go through, but the idea of a 23 year old having to seems just unfair. What I know is that she will fight and win. Kassy worked all through nursing school and has an incredible work ethic and is choosing to continue nursing through her fight. I am in awe of her determination and strength.
