Sweet baby boy Karter was diagnosed with a giant omphalocele at 12 weeks old. Most of his intestines and some of his liver are outside of his abdomen, in the umbilical cord. As you can imagine, his tiny body and other organs can be easily affected by this.
Karter and his omphalocele will have to be stable and secure in the NICU before Karter can come home.
