Kasey Dillon Fund
It's no surprise 2018 has been the hardest year for my family to date. In January we lost my Grandmother and my entire family had horrible cases of the flu. My brother, mother and sister were all hospitalized because of it. As a result, I flew home and assisted as best I could. Unfortunately, my sister never really got better.
Kasey was re-hospitalized soon after my Grandma's passing and was diagnosed with meningococcal meningitis. Hands down the scariest situation I have ever been in, was almost losing my sister. After many prayers and days in the hospital, Kasey became well enough to come home. While in the hospital however, the doctors found a mass in my sister's chest. This was a problem we wouldn't be able to face until the meningitis found it's way out of her system.
About two months after being home and trying to recover Kasey went back to the doctor to find out about the mass in her chest. After different x-rays and tests, the mass is believed to be benign. As wonderful as this news was, the mass was still causing Kasey bad chest pain. Though not an easy decision, Kasey was scheduled to have an invasive surgery to remove the mass (24 April). I ask for your prayers during this time and for Kasey's recovery. A full recovery could take up to 10 weeks or longer.
Now any of you who know Kasey, know what a caring, strong and loving person she is. She is a single mother of the most perfect little girl and manages to continually be the best mom she can be, despite her setbacks. Kasey was only a junior in college when she had Kylee and still managed to get her degree and raise a newborn by herself. Though our family is a tremendous support system, finances have always been difficult for Kasey as a single mother.
She has not been able to consistently work in about three months because of her health. This has made things especially difficult financially. Kylee's daycare expenses are not up to date and the monthly bills and expenses still remain. Though I'm happy my sister is able to get the medical help she desperately needs, it only makes her financial situation worse.
I ask that you please donate to this cause if you find it in your hearts. My hopes are to raise enough money that my sister may be able to have a less stressful recovery. All money raised will be contributed to day care expenses, as well as monthly living and medical expenses. Thank you in advance for any amount you can give, and especially your prayers. It means the world to my family!
God Bless
