Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit.

On Sunday night around 11:30pm, I was driving home from a friend’s birthday celebration when my life changed in an instant. As I passed through an intersection, a drunk driver ran a red light going 80 mph and slammed directly into the driver’s side of my car.

The crash was violent, terrifying, and traumatic — the kind of moment that replays in your head over and over. My car was completely totaled, and I was rushed to the hospital with multiple fractures in my hip. I’ve since undergone hip surgery and am now focusing on a long and painful road to recovery.

I’m incredibly grateful to be alive — but this experience has taken a serious toll, both physically and financially. I’ve had to step away from school and work while I heal, which has added even more stress during an already difficult time.

This is especially hard because I’m in my final semester at community college, preparing to transfer to a UC — a dream I’ve worked so hard to make a reality. But with this sudden setback, my family and I are in need of extra support.

All funds will go toward:

• Medical bills from surgery and follow-up care

• A new car to help me get to physical therapy, classes, and eventually work again

• Housing and living expenses at my future UC
