Meadow Wood School is a small and unique primary school for children with Physical and Neurological Impairments, where the majority of the children who attend are full-time wheelchair users, and all students at the school have an Education Health Care Plan. There are four classes which make up the school, with students attending from the age of 3 to 11 years old. Meadow Wood school strives to ensure a holistic approach to learning for all, with staff working closely with families, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and external agencies, to ensure all of the children are at the heart of the curriculum, which is tailored to meet their individual special educational needs.
Staff from the school are taking on the challenge of hiking to the summit of Mount Snowdon in April 2025, to raise vital funds for equipment such as adapted trikes, sensory equipment and an interactive floor machine, to enrich the school's current extra-curricular offer.
We would be grateful for any donations towards this staff challenge and on behalf of the students at Meadow Wood school, thank you!
