Kas has been incarcerated for 16 years and during this time he’s lost contact with all his family and friends outside. When released from prison he is seeking a fresh start, away from the life of crime and drug use, and homelessness.
Upon release this summer he will need money for basic necessities like clothes and bus fare, food, etc. He will also need help with bills and getting himself situated while he looks for work and gets his ssn figured out. The prison refused to help him locate his ssn, and as a result Kas was unable to receive stimulus money
His goal is to seek help from people who can prepare him for job interviews as well as getting his GED and perhaps even going to a vocational school. Eventually Kas would like to leave the state he is in, due to safety concerns (he has received threats while incarcerated), and move to the West Coast.
I have known Kas for over two years and he is a kind, loving and genuine person. He has suffered immense loss while incarcerated and he deserves all the help he can get. Let’s help make his transition as smooth as possible!
