Karsten Jones Medical Emergency

Hi, my name is Mareya and I am doing this to raise money for my nephew, KJ, who has a severe case of mono that has left him with a very rare and brutal complication called Guillain Barre which has paralyzed his legs and feet. After spending about a week at a Tucson hospital, he was medically transported to a wonderful rehab facility in Phoenix, Az. He’s up against some very intense physical and occupational therapy with the goal of getting him walking again and returning to his senior year of high school as soon as possible. This kid is absolutely amazing and the strongest kid I know. Although his battle ahead is a long one, he is in good spirits and never complains. He will get through this with the help of his family, friends and amazing medical team. Needless to say, this has left the entire family with their lives turned upside down and there was no way to plan for this unexpected detour in the road. Being that the rehab facility is over three hours away from their house, his mother has to leave work to be with him and will have a huge loss of income. The financial burden on the Jones’ is one we don’t want them to have to worry about while their sweet boy is recovering. Medical costs will be high as well as travel to and from and everything else in between.
