Karsan’s story

Hi my name is Courtney, I am making this go fund me for my sister Karsan. She was recently diagnosed with chiari malformation 1.5 ( basically means her brain is too big for her skull which is pushing down into her neck causing crowding in her brain stem which is blocking her flow of spinal fluid and has caused a cyst of spinal fluid on her spinal cord). What comes with chiari malformation is a long list of symptoms she deals with on a daily basis that continue to get worse.

She decided she wanted a second opinion and traveled from North Carolina to Maryland to see a group of specialist about her options. They quickly decided surgery was the best option. The surgery is called chiari decrompression where they will cut into the back of her head/neck take a piece of her skull and shrink her cerebeller tonsil and try to make extra space and then put a cover where her skull used to be sense they can’t put the bone back. They will not be able to remove the cyst because it is too risky .

With this surgery comes a long 2+ month recovery and lots of medical bills. Karsan is a single mama who works her butt off to provide a good life for her beautiful baby boy. I am asking that you donate anything it can be a dollar for all I care. To help this beautiful mama pay her bills/medical bills while she is out of work.
