Karra & Amauri's Recovery from Home Fire
Spende geschützt
I share this story with you all after falling on my face to ask God “why me”..
I took on the journey of buying my first home two years ago and finally found the answer to my prayers, with an expected closing date of March 25th. I shared the news with people closest to me and looked forward to sharing my journey to give hope to others in this treacherous experience. What I thought was a nightmare experience.
Long story short, I moved all of my items into my beautiful dream starter home on Thursday evening, March 31st, agreeing to close Monday, April 4th. With excitement, I spent the whole day with my best friend, Tasha, organizing and getting settled in.
On Saturday, April 2nd, I left home with my son and niece to join my parents and church family in an MS walk and on my way to packing up my truck to head home, LaTasha called me in a panic, having arrived at the home engulfed in black smoke throughout.
Only to find out, a couple hours later, some evil person, went into my beautiful home, vandalized my beautiful kitchen with the words “my home bitch”, destroyed TV’s, broke my baby’s PS5, but most of all started a fire in my Master bedroom closet which consumed my Master suite and killed my beloved fur-baby Khilo.
I share this story with you all, devastated at the idea of losing everything I’ve worked so diligently and hard for. How fast you can go from the top to rock bottom.
We are NOT ok, but with my village and God. I know we will be. I know there is a lesson and a word of hope in this.. and although it’s painful, I still believe that “It’s A God Thing”
As much as I know I am loved, I ask that you please not bombard with questions and calls, but offer prayers, love and support. This is yet and still a journey.. it’s just a new beginning.
