I’m raising funds for my son, Karon Gardner, 11 years old hit by two cars after and was killed. Detroit police said Karon was crossing the street with his brothers near Coyle Avenue and Puritan Street on Detroit’s west side when he was struck by two vehicles. The drivers stayed at the scene and are cooperating, but that does not lessen the pain of losing my child so suddenly.

I am a single mother of five, and I provide for my children on my own. Financially, it has already been hard to keep up with my household bills, and now I am facing the unbearable reality of trying to bury my son and send him away right away.

This fundraiser will help cover Karon’s burial and funeral expenses so I can give him a proper service during this heartbreaking time. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help ease some of the financial pressure on my family and allow me to focus on my children as we grieve.
