On August 13th, Karolina Szwaja tragically passed away, leaving her family, and her brother, Michael Szwaja, a member of the Quinnipiac community.

Karolina was a bright light and touched so many lives. Michael Szwaja credits her for making him the man he is today. Karolina’s love for Boston sports transferred quickly and wholeheartedly over to her brother. The sports nut that she was gave them something truly special to bond over. Michael is heading into his senior year at Quinnipiac University with the 4+1 MBA program on his horizon. He holds unwavering commitment and dedication to Greek Life at QU as the Interfraternity Council President and member of Zeta Beta Tau. Anyone who knows Michael (“Szwaj”), knows that whatever room he walks into is immediately brightened with his happy energy and ability to talk to anyone and make their day. Karolina loved nothing more than traveling and taking trips around the country with her brother, something Michael will cherish forever.

In a time where the world is truly testing love and life, a new burden of loss is placed on another family in addition to the costs of laying Karolina to rest peacefully. If you are able to contribute or donate in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. May she Rest In Peace.
