Karmen’s rainbow after her darkest storm

Karmen’s story ❤️Hi, I’m Karmen’s Mommy & we want to do something special for her birthday this year since she didn’t get to celebrate her 10th birthday last year due to an illness that landed her in the hospital after a surgery complication.

Please help us make her birthday so SPECIAL!

Here is our story!

On June 13th 2023 Karmen underwent a scope with bravo (an in & out surgery we were told) well something else happened (a complication, that left her with a GI bleed, septic shock, dehydration, pneumonia of the right lobe & mediastinitus (an infection from the esophagus to the right side of her neck).. this landed us in the PICU at children’s hospital for 5 days & then another 4 days on the floor below.

She never once complained, or questioned why God chose her for this battle. She fought hard & all of her family fought by her side.

Due to travel, expenses, and other factors karmen didn’t get to have a 10th birthday party last year.

So this year we would love to give her the best birthday EVER!

The experience, and seeing Gods work right infront of my eyes and seeing her come out of the state she was in within 48 hours, changed me and my faith in God forever.

Thank God for our AMAZING doctors (especially our hero Dr Joseph Peeden) who acted fast as she was already in septic shock when we arrived at the ER and saved her life & her team of her own 6 doctors & nurses who paid attention to her every need and we will NEVER FORGET but more than that, I thank God everyday that she’s still with us. ☀️

Till this day my heart hurts, I still question why her some days, almost every day… & the sting is still there, BUT when the bitterness starts to set in, I know God always does things for a purpose and this is going to be her testimony someday.

I watched God perform a miracle right before my eyes, it changed me for life and it's something I'll NEVER FORGET and it may hinder me all my life, but I’m praying for peace & healing one day.

Lastly, we serve an AMAZING GOD.
