Karmella’s fight for survival

Update as of 8/17/23. Melly is still recovering from the Bone Marrow Transplant she had back in March of this year. Other than the Skin and gut GVHD (Graft vs. Host Disease) that put her back in the hospital for an extensive amount of time, she has overcome that, and has been doing much better. GVHD is the #1 cause of death in transplant patients. Although she has already battled two different types of GVHD, she still continues to face challenges such as: IV fluids at home every night, many medications, physical therapy, multiple tests to check her bodily functions (glands, thyroid, etc.), and appointments throughout each week. The battle is a little different now, and we are very thankful for that. However, It is apparent that only one of us will be able to work now going forward. As RJ gets his business going, it is still a battle recovering financially since we both lost our jobs earlier this year. We are grateful for any and every prayer, share, and donation we receive.
