Karma's Transition Costs

Donation protected

Hi my name is Soulfire,

I'm fundraising for my best friend Karma, who went to the rainbow bridge Tuesday, December 19th. Many of you know me and my special story and bond with Karma and many of you knew Karma. Our story of reunion is in my first memoir, Fearless Freedom Becoming SoulFire. She was and is my soulmate/souljoy.

I rescued her almost 15 years ago, but the reality is: she saved my life. She brought so much healing and unconditional love into my life and got me through some of my darkest times. She was my yoga assistant and loved to attend yoga classes with me, licking everyone's face while they weren't paying attention in downward facing dog. She assisted me with my reiki/energy healings with my clients. She made people smile everywhere she went and brought so much joy to people on our daily walks. She really stole the show here. Everyone loved her.

She held the light and love for Humanity's hearts, especially mine. Long Island and Hawaii were her homes but her true home will always be in my heart. I can go on and on about Karma and what a special dog she was/is but am going to leave you in anticipation for the series of books that I, rather we, (Karma and I) will be writing to keep her energy, sweetness and wisdom alive. She was my teacher everyday.

This year, 2023, was one of the most difficult ones I have had in nearly 20 years. My beloved Karma was diagnosed with heart failure in March. The vet said I should think about putting her down. I wouldn't give up on her. After a year of lots of holistic measures on top of medicines she made it 9 more months. We got to do her bucket list twice! For that I am grateful.

In the end she was suffering tremendously from kidney and bladder infections on top of her enlarged heart, but still kept on for me. She was pure love and devotion. She loved me dearly and didn't want to leave me. I had the honor of holding her in my arms as she transitioned out of her broken avatar body and into her angel light body. It was intense, scary, emotional and relieving. That was all I asked her that when she left that she would do it in my arms. For that I will be forever grateful.

My daughter told me I should do a Go Fund Me, (which to be honest I never liked) to help with the high expenses from the hospital and cremation in the end. I am not good at asking for help, but I thought I would do this gesture for Karma - in honor of her and anyone she has touched in any way.

I thank you for reading this and giving if you feel moved to do so in honor of the sweetest most special dog in my world.
Aloha and many blessings to you.
