As many of you may know, 2 years ago Matt was diagnosed with cancer. He had to go through various treatments including chemo and extensive surgery. Dealing with that along with this pandemic Matt fought hard and beat that battle in May 2020.
Unfortunately, Matt has recently been told that the cancer has returned and “not in a good way” It is extremely aggressive and is taking a huge toll on him physically and mentally. His organs are fighting really hard right now but this will only take him so far unless he gets this help he so urgently needs.
Right now, how we can support him best is to raise as much money as we can for a holistic doctor. We are hoping that the Dr. and suggestions they provide can help get things under control so that Matt is able to do chemo treatments to shrink this tumour. As of right now, it is the only option before moving forward. The longer he waits the more painful and harder it is to get under control. This money will also help to ease day to day stresses such as rent in BC, bills etc. Hopefully he will be able to just focus on getting better without the worry.
Talking to Matt you can hear the excruciating pain he is in. Right now he is fighting to stay out of the hospital so that he can be with Ryder. Because of covid Ryder cannot go into the hospital. Separating them only makes it harder on the both of them and this time is crucial for them to be together. Matt’s focus is getting better so he can be a loving father and watch his son grow. We all know Matt is a fighter and will do whatever it takes to beat cancer again for Ryder. He is his world.
Throughout all of this he has somehow stayed so positive. He is so grateful for all the support he has received. This is going to be ongoing so please continue to keep Matt in your thoughts and prayers and please donate what you can so we can bring him home to his boy.
