KarmaPet Inc. is moving to Summerland BC!

Donation protected
Hi there. My name is Bonnie Grace Duncan and I have sunk the past six years into developing KarmaPet Inc. (yes, it is one word - I have my reasons). KarmaPet Inc. produces treats for dogs and cats. These treats are different from others in several ways.

1. I only purchase my raw beef liver and raw chicken breast from Harley Farms, Keene. They are the ONLY third party certified high animal welfare farm in Ontario. What this means for the creatures raised on the farm live their lives free from hunger, thirst, fear, pain and are free to express behaviours that are typical for their species.
2. I package my treats in 100% plastic free, resealable bags that are made out of vegetable starches. The entire bag, labels, ink and adhesives is HOME COMPOSTABLE (sorry to yell but I am pretty darn excited about this). Even if they end up in the land fill, the materials will not ever hurt any living thing.
3. My treats are single ingredient treats - no added anything. No preservatives, no stabilizers, nadda.
4. My treats are raw and freeze dried. Freeze drying is extremely expensive but here is why - freeze dried foods have a shelf life of around 28 years or so. But, mainly, because freeze dried foods retain up to 97% of the nutritional value of food. Compare this to dehydrated foods (gross) which is at nutritional value retention at approximately 60%

Good To Know

I donate 10% of my gross revenue to a local farm animal rescue sanctuary (The Foster Farm Animal Sanctuary located locally to me). I will continue to donate back into the farm animal sanctuary community once I get to BC and meet some people.

I am driving from just outside Toronto to Summerland, BC where I have rented a house. I cannot afford movers or air fare so I am renting a trailer to schlep my stuff behind me. I will be travelling with three cats (please direct your prayers to whomever you pray for my safe travel - these cats are NUTS!)

Great to Know

The product was not received well where I currently live which is rural, small town in nature. The product is expensive. The packaging is expensive. The process is expensive. People out here simply cannot afford to express their consciousness by supporting the brand.

I hear tell that the folks out west would be happy to support the brand. One of the things that has led me to this believe is that there are a number of High Animal Welfare Farms on the west coast. MY PEOPLE!!! Once I get out there, I will find a local third party certified high animal farm to wholesale from.

The trailer rental is around $2,000. I have saved the money to put a hitch on my vehicle which is being installed tomorrow, May 15, 2025.

I turn 64 in June, 2025 and never imagined that I would ever leave Toronto (left in 2001) much less Ontario. I am taking a huge leap. Please help me to land softly.

Cheers,

Bonnie
