Co-Founder Gregory Kennedy's Personal Story
Years ago, I was invited to an Awakin Circles meditation and meal in Santa Clara, California where I had the great pleasure to meet Nipun Mehta, a co-founder of ServiceSpace and Karma Kitchen. I also learned about Nipun's other incredible initiatives—Daily Good, Karma Tube, and Awakin Calls. I volunteered at the original Karma Kitchen in Berkeley and It changed my heart and soul forever in a deeply powerful way.
My connection to Africa
I volunteered and worked for and with the incredible Dr. Jane Goodall in Tanzania (where I stayed in her home) and Uganda Africa and have thought about moving to Africa and giving back in my own way.
I moved to Marrakech, cultivated relationships with numorous beautiful and kind Moroccans and have found a kind property owner who loves the idea of Karma Kitchen and has offered us a great deal to rent our proposed Karma Kitchen location.
“Dr. Jane taught me and all of us that every single one of us can make a difference every single day”. Your donation will make a real difference to every stranger who will walk through our doors at Karma Kitchen Marrakech.
Co-Founder Christel Coulin's Personal Story
I met Gregory through his neighbor and our mutual friend Deana from London. He introduced me to Karma Kitchen and the inspiring ServiceSpace projects. The Karma Kitchen philosophy resonated with me deeply—it's aligned with my life path and the journey I've been on.
Community:
Karma Kitchen Marrakech will also offer free cooking and baking classes, and creative, language, and AI For Social Good workshops for our local Moroccan community and visiting guests.
